Editorial and corrections policy
A wrong colour the day before a red day, and an electrically heated household pays for the day at full price. An out-of-date price, and comparing options means nothing. Here is where our data comes from and what we do when a figure is wrong.
Responsibility
Radif Partners answers for every colour shown, every price taken from the grid and every formula in the comparison. A colour that differs from RTE’s, or a price that does not match the grid in force, can be reported to contact@tempodemain.fr: we check it against the source the same day.
Primary sources only
- RTE: the Tempo calendar and next-day colour, national demand (éCO2mix);
- the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE): deliberations on regulated tariffs and on placing off-peak hours;
- the official blue tariff grid applicable on the stated date;
- Enedis: the timetable for changing off-peak hours.
No colour and no price is taken from a comparison site or a forum. A colour forecast beyond RTE’s publication is never presented as information.
Estimates, never bills
Every cost is an estimate based on your inputs and the regulated tariff in force. Your off-peak windows, real meter readings and any surcharges make up the bill; the bill is what counts.
Checks before publication
Every rebuild replays bills worked out by hand and checks the quotas and placement rules of every Tempo season. A colour that broke a rule would stop the update rather than go on screen.
Update schedule
Colours: daily. Prices: at each regulated tariff change. Heating profile: every year after 31 August. The date at the foot of each page comes from the data files.
Handling errors
- Check against the primary source.
- Fix the data or the code, add a test.
- New date on the pages concerned.
Independence
No commercial tie with any supplier, broker or installer. Any such relationship would be stated in the text.
